Your Jewelry Store: Skowhegan, Maine

We are Maine’s oldest family-owned and operated jewelers, at 116 years, and counting.

Russakoff Jewelers was founded by Susman Russakoff, a Russian immigrant, in Skowhegan, Maine in 1907. The original location, now long gone, was on the banks of the Kennebec River. Our Downtown Skowhegan landmark has been at 100 Water since 1950.

Nestled in the heart of central Maine, Skowhegan is a picturesque town filled with natural beauty and rich history. Skowhegan has something for everyone. Allow us to boast about our lovely town a little.

The Skowhegan River Park will redevelop our downtown river corridor into an accessible outdoor recreation mega.

Offering easy access to the Kennebec River for kayaking, whitewater rafting and much more.   Once construction is complete, Skowhegan will boast the only adjustable wave in the Northeast.

In August visit The Skowhegan State Fair, it is the oldest agricultural fair in the country and going strong!  “Run” down to the annual New Balance tent sale where many of the shoes are made here in Skowhegan.

And for those in search of relaxation, Skowhegan offers a wealth of opportunities to unwind and recharge. Relax with a cold brew from Skowhegan’s own Bigelow Brewing or Oak Pond Brewing.  Take a stroll through the tranquil Lake George Regional Park, Coburn Woods trails, enjoy a picnic in the charming Coburn Park, or  indulge in some retail therapy at one of the town’s many boutiques and antique shops.
